Profile - I suppose a profile is a bit of history, a bit of who I am and what I do. So here goes:
@

I came to Japan in 1987. Before that I had my own tax preparation practice in Oregon for over 10 years. My wife is Japanese and we have two daughters.

My practice:

I specialize in US personal income tax returns for Americans living in Japan, including former residents that have returned to the US. I have no employees so you can be assured that even the simplest tax returns are prepared by me and that difficult tax returns are not assigned to inexperienced staff. I have no corporate clients.

I place the highest priority in obtaining the most comprehensive tax software available. This software has the best crosschecking and error alert system that I can buy. Over the years, I haven't met very many accountants who enjoy the detail nature of the work, but I get a lot of pleasure and satisfaction out of taking over the horrendous burden of tax preparation and saving clients as much money as is appropriate.

Confidentiality:

Your information is seen only by me. Your names or e-mail addresses are not divulged. However, if there ever were to be any kind of legal proceedings, CPA's do not have attorney -client privilege.

Hobbies, interests:

A bit of vegetable gardening, tennis, the New Yorker magazine (a bargain subscription of great political comments, fiction, etc.).
